Museums Victoria

Tyama (CHAH-MUH) is a first-of-its-kind immersive digital exhibition developed by Museums Victoria exclusively for Melbourne Museum.

Situated in Melbourne Museum’s 1,000m2 Touring Hall, the exhibition features some of the largest projection screens in Melbourne, 47 Panasonic projectors and 80 speakers driven by software gaming platform Unreal Engine which can generate real time 3D content.  

Tyama includes a combination of built form, truss, mirrored surfaces and soft screens designed to completely immerse visitors in the experience.
